Another glorious day weather-wise on the New England coast. The great weather always puts a little zing in the step and a smile on the face - you just can't help it. Today's card is made for my first ever Pals Paper Arts challenge, and I am really pleased at the final outcome of the card. I love how the different textures and colors blend seamlessly to create a pleasing composition, and a card that sings from the heart. I am a sucker for Thank You cards, because they can be given everyday for so many reasons.
Anyone who knows me can verify that I have a passion for all things bird related. My favorite bird treasure was given to me by my sister Anne and her husband Craig. They found an abandoned hummingbird's nest on a pine tree in Maine, which shockingly still has the needles intact. It is beautiful!
This is my first card made using a sketch for planning and inspiration, and I really enjoyed the challenge. As I was not aiming to incorporate Stampin' Up! products only, my creativity floodgate rushed open...like any other crafter out there I have a hodgepodge of goodies and supplies, because I never know when I just might need them - teehehe!
Please check out the Pals Paper Art website! You can check out the Resident Artist's submittals in order to better understand just what this 'challenge' is all about. My submittal along with other Pal's submittals can be found if you scroll down on the challenge site. Enjoy!
