I am honored to be a guest stamper for Mary Fish today. It was a year ago that I posted my first card publicly anywhere, and it was on her blog. Once I had agreed to be a guest stamper, I had second thoughts (actually I think I had a panic attack) that I could create a card worthy for her site. She is a tough act to follow, as we all know! Even though that I have been making cards for a bit now, I am still in awe daily of how much talent and inspiration there is to be found in the many blogs and sites that are available to view.
This time around I had visions of doing something really creative and special and yet I barely managed to squeak a card in! It seems like just yesterday I was putting up the Christmas tree and now Valentines Day is looming just around the corner. It has been a quick month of school vacations, snowstorms, sore throats and the stomach flu here at the Pollard household. What is so nice about Mary sharing her limelight is that it allows us to view new talent, styles and ideas that we might not stumble upon ourselves.
Today's card was made using a Hostess set stamp offered in the recent Holiday catalog. Because the set included different holiday greetings and coordinated with the hexagon punch and the hearts a flutter framelits set I assumed it would carry over…you know what they say about assuming…hmmmm. Wishful thinking on my part! I like incorporating the new Stampin’ Up! products with the tried and true products and even the retired items for yet even more fun ways to create unique and one of a kind cards.
